ProActiv didn't help any of the people I know that used it for acne...
But either way, I suggest you do more research for products pertaining to your particular condition. ProActiv and Acne Free are for *acne,* not "black spots" (scars) -from- acne.

If you've had the scars for less than a week or two, rub a little Neosporin on them before you try expensive stuff like Mederma or Neutrogena's products for scar fading.

Try Mederma for the black spots and scars if Neosporin doesn't work; you can get it at Wal-Mart for probably less than 15 bucks a tube.

Google "black spots left by acne" ...there's a lot of things out there, I only touched on a few. Find out your skin type, too, some products work better for different skin types; what works for your best friend with dry skin might not work for you if you have oily skin, etc.

I also suggest Googling "how to remove whiteheads"
...Or you can see a dermatologist if the whiteheads (your other issue) are giving you a serious problem, they can remove them fairly easily. But it won't be cheap...

P.S. Be dilligent in your product applications, don't give up after a day or two; skin problems don't go away overnight.

The problem with both of these products is that they only target the skin bacteria, not the real cause of acne which is an imbalance in the body.

I have had good luck with proactive, the only bad thing is the cost but having good looking skin is worth the price to me.

Proactiv. I tried Acne Free since it's cheap...and also easier to purchase compared to Proactiv...but didn't work for me.

I have found an awesome site to get free samples. I get all sorts of new products that haven’t even hit the market yet. It is kind of like a beta testing site for new products. They test everything from food to beauty samples to video games. Here is the site.
