"mancandoli" = " while missing them" (like when you're firing or throwing something at them)
"mazzi" = "bunches" (of vegetables, etc), "decks" (playing card)

"mancandoli mazzi" means nothing.
"mancando i mazzi..." could means "not having the decks..." (the sentences must be completed, like "...we can't play")
