One of my friend's is getting married. She wanted to have a engagement party and I was going to help her. Do you have any idea's for what to eat, what to drink, any games. Any advice would be great. I have never done this before.

An engagement party is just a time for family and close friends of the couple to get together for drinks and snackies. No big deal, no games, no gifts.

An engagement party is different from a bachelorette and bachelor party so I don't think games are required but as far as menu, it depends on budget. You could just do hors'derves and appetizers or do a full meal. Definitely do champagne to toast the bride and groom. The back of bridal magazines have great classifieds.

how big is the party? if it's big, make a buffet of mix foods like american cuisine and asian or just american. Well, where is she going to have her party? is it outdoor or indoor? if it's outdoor, only bbq that is suitable, I think. Drink any kinds of drinks from pop to margarita, come on! it's engagement party.

you could do just appitizers, or finger foods. even a bbq would be fun. something casual. i dont think you really need to do games or anything like that. just invite a bunch of people over and mingle. for drinks you could do mixed drinks which may get pricey, or just do the typical wine, beer, soda, water ect.
