You should never pick at scabs regardless of where they are; it opens a wound which puts you at risk for an infection and picking at scabs will cause bad scarring.

I personally have never known piercings to form scabs as a sign of healing. If you aren't sure of something you NEED to have a piercer LOOK at the area. I'm pretty sure you'll be okay because its not pussing, bleeding or painful, but still...better safe than sorry, don't pick at it and see a piercer.

i have a belly peircing, and it does take about a full year for it to completely heal, however-- cleaning it is vital.. 3 times a day-- over cleaning it can cause an infection. leave the scab-- also try a little vaseline... but DO NOT PICK!! =)-- very important to not over-do the medication u put on it =)

Soak your piercing in a sea salt solution (1/8 tsp sea salt, 8oz warm water). Let it soak for 5-10 mins. Use a q-tip to gently remove any build up. Do that 1-2 times daily for a piercing of that age, don't do anything else to clean it.

It's most likely lymph (yellowish white crusty stuff), expect it to happen for a while, navels can take a long time to heal, just try not to irritate it too much with over cleaning or dirty hands

Ouch. Don't pick it!

If you get a scab, just keep cleaning it like you would normally, and it'll come off on it's own. If you pick it off, it just opens the wound, and it might cause it to become bigger/more severe than if it were to just fall off. :)

you can pick it. might make it bleed again, but it won't really hurt.
