This is not a blind date. We've met before. The chemistry was incredible. He was really anxious to meet me the night before, then he does not even call to say he's not coming, and not even so much as a phone call to say he's sorry the next day. What gives?

That would have to be because he either has an issue about where things might lead in every sense. He probably got a severe case of Oh my god I am not good enough for her, bricked and stuck his head in the sand.

Doesn't matter if you have seen him before and even if the chemistry was there. If he got the fear, there is no telling how he would react.

I did something similar myself once - and only once, learnt how to deal with the situation and just go with the flow, I put to much pressure to mentally prepare for an entire lifetime together because "she was going to be the one" Nonsense, but it got me.

Or he was called away for work/business last moment, was mugged, lost his phone and didn't have your number or lastly and nastily, he could be a complete toe rag and he saw someone else who took his fancy.

Unless you speak - you don't know.

Tough break.

maybe something happened to him on the way there, or he had a family emergency. if you really thought there was potential, and he's worth it, show him you give him the benefit of the doubt. don't sound crazy or needy, but call (leave a message if he doesn't answer) and ask if everything is alright. don't sound hurt or disappointed, just concerned. tell him you were under the impression that he was looking forward to the date, and wanted to make sure nothing bad had happened to prevent him from showing up. you'll be able to tell, if not from what he says, by the way he responds if he's still interested or not. either way, ball's in his court, so you can move on 'til he responds in some way.

Well, could be for a cple reasons...

1 He was faking his "chemistry" and too chicken-chit to tell you

2 You mistook your "chemistry" as both of u when maybe it was just one sided...

3 The chemistry was really there but he's afraid of it

4 A legit reason, such as accident, death in family etc etc
things do come up unexpectedly

could be anything really, yes it was wrong to stand you up, and yes it was even "wrongerer" to not even call you to cancel or postpone.... but the most unequivocably WRONG answer i have read here is to just jump the gun, and assume he is married or this has anything to do with another female...

i'm a GUY, and i don't know this guy, i'm not jumping to his defense either, in the end... he may well be a player.... but it's wrong to assume, and i've seen so many would-be-good relationships go south because of it... TALK TO HIM, you're never really gonna know if you don't.

That is what happened to me...my bf and I were supposed to meet at a play...he didn't show up...try standing up to him and tell him you felt hurt and confused and ask him why. if he doesn't have a valid answer or a good answer tell him you deserve more and if he can't give it to you, you are going to start to look for someone better.

Cold feet? I was very attracted to my fiance in the beginning and when we finally had the chance to be together I did that to him several times. I just didn't feel worthy or something. Thank God he hung in there with me. He is probably a little afraid, happens to us all.

Maybe there was some emergency where he wasnt able to meet you. Have you seen him since? Or you could just call him up and ask why.

Sounds like he hooked up with someone else or is rebounding and thinking of or getting back with an ex.

Only another woman would make a guy do that I think....
