im thinking it maybe depends on the person, height weight and stuff, but i know i get pretty drowsy when i eat protein rich meals

Protein is harder to digest and requires more of the body's energy to digest it and carbs are easier to digest and require less energy to be absorbed by the body, so that is somewhat possible.
