If you want eye candy, get PCLinuxOS instead. It has a stunning 3D cube desktop interface which is years ahead of Vista Aero.

Yes you do.

Dude, just buy the Home Premium for 150. BUT make sure your hardware is up-to-date.

99.999% of problems reported with Vista are due to the CUSTOMER NOT HAVING APPROPRIATE HARDWARE.

Try running XP on an old Packard Bell that was designed for Windows 95. It's going to suck, obviously. This is a new operating system built for the new hardware of today.

I upgraded to a Core 2 Duo processor, 3GB RAM, nForce 680i SLI motherboard, 512MB graphics card, dual TV Tuner cards, and 2 LCD displays. It was the best move I've ever made...Vista has been a blessing. I control my TV through Media Center while doing Office work, my computer records TV shows that it thinks I'll like (such as shows about Bigfoot, etc), and I can use Voice Command to navigate my PC completely (internet, documents, everything). It's really friggin' sweet.

Then again, if you don't want to have the TV functionality or the Voice Command, and you want to pay a lot more money, you could always get a Mac, hehe.

It's ridiculous if you don't have a top of the line gaming system
or a Computer that's built recently forget it......

I've used Solaris, Free BSD, Open BSD, Net BSD, HP/UX,
Ubuntu, Debian, Slackware, Mandriva, PcBSD, System V,
even Plan 9.

No base os should ever require you have a Computer that's more powerful than a space shuttle honest save your money
stick with XP if your happy with it or switch to Mac or Linux,
pcbsd

Try downloading it from Microsoft loser.
Anyone with any sense is already using Linux so you are way behind the curve.

You think you want Vista. Is your computer older than 2 months? If so you'll be better off with:
