I brew my own and for health reasons not taste reasons I've learned to like it unsweet. brewing tea is easy, I bought a $7 tea pot(just like the song) and brew it up, takes a few minutes. Plus if you sing the "I'm a little tea pot" song and do the motions you burn calories while brewing tea, genius huh?

Defininately brew green tea and drink it hot. Avoid instant green tea.

A 2007 report published by the US Department of Agriculture compares nearly 400 foods for their flavonoids content.

100 millimetres of brewed green tea contains 127 milligrams of catechins.

Decaffeinated brewed green tea contains only 56 milligrams, less than half of the catechins found in an original brew.

Flavored brewed green tea has 43 milligrams.

Disappointingly, instant green tea has only 12 milligrams.

I don't know if you are aware of it, Lipton instant green tea has been found to have high fluoride content.

The following link has more information on which other foods and beverages are rich in green tea catechins content, and the fluoride issue.

Bottled green tea has alot of sugar and if u make it on ur own then u know how much sugar u put in so brewed by urself is better than bottled.

It depends if their is any preservatives in it. Preservatives normally reduces the benefits of herbal concoctions, so it is always better to take fresh organic herbs and brew your own herbal tea.
