Why do guys complain about women lying about their weight in personals ads?

when men do just as much lying themselves. I can understand them not wanting to date an overweight person and no one likes to be deceived but at the same time it seems like every man on the personals makes 100 thousand or more a year. Not very many people make that amount of money. The funny thing is that all these men who seem to make that high income don't seem to have much money. They live in apartments, drive modest cars and don't seem to have much to spend. Before someone says that money isn't important or shouldn't be an issue, ok, then why don't these guys just leave the income info blank or say that they make less than 25 thousand? Am I the only one who thinks it's hypocritical for a man to expect honesty when they are not honest themselves?

Because people want to portray themselves as worthy of people's attention. Don't lie about your weight, or leave it blank. Don't lie about your income, or leave it blank. It's all about self-perception. I think I'm beautiful, but someone else may know my dress size and weight and disagree.

For one, men are just stupid. I guess they think money impresses us.

I used to lie about my weight because I knew I'd get a lot more responses.....I had no intention of meeting these men.....I just wanted to mess with their minds like I've had done to me all my life. Felt good!!

because men think of their guts as a sign of hierarchy,, the kings all were fat, noblemen were fat, so the fat guys think they are noble, and it isnt a lie,
