In high doses, saffron has toxic qualities. It has even been used as a means of aborting pregnancy in doses of five to ten grams; such amounts, are, however already severely toxic.

Take your dog to the vet as soon as possible.

Saffron can be poisonous in high doses - I think you should ring the vet asap. Do a google search on 'saffron poisoning'.

Probably the most expensive meal he'll ever eat in his life, but it won't cause him any harm. To say it can be poisonous in large quantities is absurd. Absolutely everything is poisonous to everything if ingested in large enough quantities. So assuming he didn't eat an entire bucketful,(which would amount to several thousand pounds worth!), then you have no cause for concern.

Won't hurt to call you vet an ask. They may ask you to induce vomiting with peroxide. Call them for sure. Good Luck!

Your pup has very expensive taste! I'd call the vet on this one because this is so unusual.
