How long ago did she leave? Pregnant cats are probably the most finicky when expecting. Some of them aren't that friendly and they prefer to be by themselves when giving birth. I have a feeling if that is the case she and the kittens will come home when the little guys are a little bit older to move around by themselves.

I am an indoor only cat kind of person (longer life-span than an outdoor cat)! If you want to keep tabs on a Cat, for future reference, check into the avid friendchip (a microchip that can be scanned for address information) shelters will scan the neck to see if this microchip is present when rescues arrive! If you plan on having your Cat outdoor make sure all vaccinations are current and that he/she has a collar with an id tag! Most outdoor cats live a short life span do to illness, car accident, or other animal encounter! From now on have indoor only cats and make sure to neuter/spay to avoid the over-population of cats, keep up to date on all vaccines and check-ups, and please do not declaw! I will post some very informative links that I would recommend looking over! Im sorry for your dilemma! http://www.thecatsite.com/Care/20/Your-Guide-to-Finding-A-Lost-Cat.html Guide to finding a lost cat! Also post a lost cat ad on craigslist! Select your local area and post your ad (it is free)!

If she is recently missing, she has probably gone someplace to have the kittens. Go door to door in the neighborhood and check under porches, in sheds, old cars, etc. or anyplace that a cat may go into.
Many years ago my dog went missing for a few days and had dug a hole in the side of a hill and had her puppies!
I now keep all my cats indoors or in my screened in porch. It's also important to have your animals fixed.
Good luck, I hope she returns to you.

How long ago did this happen? She may have gone somewhere safe to have the kittens. Have you asked the area shelters if they picked up your kitty? Sometimes people don't see the signs so you may want to also ask your neighbors around you -- maybe she had they kittens and someone wants to play with them so is keeping the whole bunch around. Good luck, I hope you find your kitty! Beth

Don't lose hope okay.
I keep my cat indoors because they live longer and I would be worried about what would happen to him outside. Shamu may have delivered her kittens and is recovering.
Don't be surprised if Shamu and her little sea world family show up at your doorstep.

You didnt say how long she was gone. Our cat, Smokes, was out for THREE WEEKS and came back- that was after MOVING (which is close to impossible) The poor guy had no front claws, I dont know how he survived, don't even wanna think about what happened to him.... he was skinny as hell, but he's right here right now, fat & healthy & sweet as can be...Good luck, I'll pray for her.

She probably found a comfortable acceptable place to have her kittens. It took my cats anywhere between 3 to 12 months before they retured to my place after taking off.

You should have had her spayed so she didn't get pregnant and you should have never let her out. Congratulations on your parents decision on not letting you replace your cat with another one you will just not take care of either.

if she was close to giving birth to her litter, cats tend to like a quiet, hiding place to give birth. maybe she found an environment like that outside, and she will return after tending to her kittens.
