Does anyone have any reccomendations for software to remove surface noises when transferring vinyl into the digital world? Any and all help would be appreciated, thanks.

use audicity its free and open source, googlek it and then in the filters menu select the noise option and then hit and try the various values!
it worked for me!

it depends on the system you are using. some systems have programs built in to eliminate the hiss and scratching before it even gets to your computer/workstation.

try zzounds.com or musiciansfriend.com

and ask their support staff. both are very helpful and should be able to answer this question for you

Most capture programs have a noise / scratch filter built in.
Check your capture / burn program for full info.
