I really think that this feature should be used only for important questions, wondering questions. I see a lot of people post crazy stuff like "How old are you?". That is a waste of space here. I think that YAHOO put this feature together for that purpose, to help people out.
In answer to your question, :P I get alot of "Thank you" 's as the explanation when I get chosen for a best answer. (More so with my old id name.) I have gotten many emails also from people thanking me for helping them out.
Great question, have a great day!

Yeah, I get them from time and time and it makes it rewarding when someone really finds your answer useful. I answered a guy once who sincerely sounded like he was trying to revitalize the sparks in his marriage. They'd been married for almost 20 years.
He took my suggestion and said it worked like a charm, and he has the "sex kitten" back that he married all that time ago. How cool is that?

hi friend
yes...i get a thank you many times.
in fact, i usually ans only personal problems. sometimes, i wonder if a person has actually taken my advice or not, i worry...but its okay.
Answering quest on yahoo is my bit of social work, my contribution to society, my idea of helping sad, confused or lonely people in need of a friend.
you too do the same ...keep smiling and keep endeavouring to spread smiles!!!
