Hi my hair is exaclty the same, ive goone from having dry hair to greasy hair, Its greasy the next day and I dont even use alot of styling products either. I dont know what causes it, I know our hormones sometimes change as we get older, So this could be the reason, but the only way I can get around it is was it everyday and to use a good conditioner as with my hair its greasy at the roots and dry on the ends so as I wash everyday or more than normal the oils in the ends of my hair get stripped out so i need to use a good conditioner. Recently I tried Sunsilks watermelon leave in conditioner for hair that gets greasy too quick. Its rubbish as it doesnt make it easier to get the brush through my hair but it does stop the hair looking greasy for longer you get about one extra day for not washing which is a bonus.
I wouldnt waste time buying all the stuff for greasy hair as it doesnt work you will still need to wash it every day or everyother day.

Diet and stress can sometimes be the cause of greasy hair. But it can also be your shampoo! If you have just recently started using a new shampoo, it may not suit your hair and is therefore making it greasy. Similarly if you've been using the same shampoo for a long time your hair can build up a kind of resistance to it so it doesn't work as well. Its always recommended you use a different shampoo brand every couple of months to ensure this doesnt happen. Or alternate between a few different brands. Also make sure you don't bog your hair down with loads of products like wax and serum as they can make it worse.

Make sure you're rinsing thoroughly; left over conditioner and/or shampoo can result in oily/greasy hair.

If that doesn't help, try using Herbal Essence; it has alcohol in it so it may help your problem (if it is persistent) and not completely damage your hair.

Try buying a small bottle and don't use it regularly; if your hair doesn't act up and there's no more oilyness, don't use it anymore as then your hair will most likely dry out from that shampoo.

Note: Don't buy "For dry/damaged" hair.

could be for a number of reasons.
If it's coloured then it will become greasy at the roots when your colour needs redone. If you have been unwell and taking medication this can also affect hair condition. If it is none of these then try tea tree shampoo, available in boots, do not use any shampoo with Panthenol in it as this will make your problem worse (check ingredients on shampoo bottle for Panthenol).
Cut back on heavy conditioners and keep them and any styling products away from your roots.

a very good way to get it back to normal is to wash youre hair with olive oil soap. i know sounds a bit wired lol but it really helps. after a while you can need again a normal shampoo but use one without perfume, cause this is a main reason why the hair gets greasy very fast again.
try it out

diet can play a big part in that.....hormones as well...perhaps you are stressed and it has opened up those oily hair secretions again...get a good shampoo and ride it out. In the mean time focus on your diet. I know when I moved to a warmer climate near the beach my hair started to frizz and curl uncontrollably....so environmental factors can play a part too......My skin got very oily too in the warmer climate where I had to change my make up brands....

Try a hot oil treatment. Any department store carries them in the same section as hair gels and sprays

It could be caused many different things, including a build-up of residues/chemicals from your shampoo. Try using a clarifying treatment, or switching to a shampoo that doesn't contain a lot of petrochemicals or silicone derivatives.

If you wash it everyday,
It's bound to get greasy more quickly.
If you wash it every other day with Fructis normal to greasy hair.
Then it should go back to normal.
