Does anyone ever wonder what is in their food? Specifically which bits of which animals? For example, cheap sausages are mostly tendons, cereal, fat and gristle with very little real meat, apparently. If you eat a steak or a chop you can see what you're getting, but when you buy from MacDonalds or wherever do you ever wonder what you're chewing on? It's supposed to be real meat, but is it? And if you ask for a beef burger shouldn't it be just beef?

Eggs are fantastic because the contents are made before the shell is added. That's just amazing.

Yes, because I don't buy predigested food. Partly because I don't know what's in it and partly because I do know.

Sausage is usually 30-40% fat. All sausage contains fat. Obviously cheaper sausages contain more fat. There are no tendons in sausage (not intentionally anyway). Cereals are used often times in cheap burgers. McDs claims to have their burgers made from 100% all-beef patties. I believe it. Four ounces of meat patty doesn't require any fluffing up.

When you eat a steak, or a chop, you really only see the cut and marbling. What you don't see, the GMO's, can be worst than a little gristle in your sausage.

I know what is in the food I eat.I never ever ever eat out in a fast food place or a take-away or a restaurant. cafe or bar, or in anyones`house ( unless I know them very well)
I haven`t done so since I was a child. I never eat meat or fish of any kind or any `bi-product` from a dead animal. I eat only vegetables which I grow myself, without the use of pesticides.. If and when I want milk I drive to a local farmers market and get it, the same with cheese, butter , eggs and all fresh fruit and yogurts. I make my own bread and cakes etc. I never eat junk food. I am rarely ill, neither do I suffer from `up-set `stomach or sickness. I keep my kitchen clean and my food stored properly and wash my hands when preparing food. I am not paranoid about food hygiene, I just act and eat sensibly.

Be careful of your eggs too. Organic eggs or at least free range are much better. The mass produced ones are LOADED with all kinds of stuff you dont want to eat. The chickens that lay them are mostly mistreated and lame and are stacked layer upon layer on each other. They live in and eat each others poop and thats why the eggs are such poor quality. Try organic eggs and you will never want anything else.

Yes, I think about it a lot, particularly with regard to fast food. That's one of many reasons I don't eat it anymore (or feed it to my kids). I try to cook as much as possible and have things on hand in the house to eat. At least then, I can read the labels and make an informed decision about what to put into my body.

I know there's no mechanically recovered meat (MRM) in my food- I've been avoiding it since I found out what it was when I about six. I'm glad other people share my fear and that it's becoming easier to avoid now more people won't buy it. It's evil stuff.
