Cheating creep?

sneaky,messy gossipy mother in law has very sneaky ways of getting my father in law and sis in law and husband to always think people hurt her feelings and upset her to the point they get mad and only hear her story and get very pissed off at who/what she's talking about.......she recenlty got mad because she got an very important call for me and my husband about some business we needed to take care of...she lied like she tried to call my hubby on his cell, (not knowing about caller ID on a cell phone) instead called my mom and told her our business....I told her in the future to call my home phone and leave a message on my hubby and my answering machine...she never calls my house phone, she will call his cell phone....my father in law and I had a good relationship up until then...I noticed he act funny with me when I spoke to him the other day...........he usually laughs and jokes when he see me, but since then, he act very cold....how should

Divide and conquer. Really sometime social interaction can be a battlefield. As it sounds she has way to much power in the situatioin then she needs. This is usually what happens when others have gavin up theres. Your best bet is to keep your hubby on your side. Talk to him, relate your concerns. Your dealing with ether a control freak or a closet social deviate. Chances our everyone in the family knows something isn't right with mom. She most be a tad bit selfish and extremly hard to talk to on your own terms. Your also hiding something very important which is the type of business your mom in law found out about. That would help give you more specific advice on what you need to do. Also you havn't explained why the in-laws play such an important part in your guys life. Espacially for them to get a phone call about you and your hubbies personal business. That would of be important to finding a way of keeping her from being able to rally her family around her. The easiest most general answer to this is Talk To Them! Honesty is the best way to handle any situation. Remeber don't bring pride to the table, bring humility and talk from the heart and you'll be ok.
