I know sea salt is recommended but I only have cooking salt and I have no idea what type it is it just says "fine salt".

I need the saline solution for my piercing

Salt has idoione (sp?) in it. Which will irritate your piercing.

You need to use sea salt because it doesn't have anything added into it. You can get it from your grocery store (in the spice isle) for 2-4 dollars.

Salt has additives. Use Pickling salt which has no additives.
