It may be okay, but you could also try is green tea. It is a very good antitoxin, and will help clean the body. Check it out. It's best if you could make some yourself. It will be much better than the stuff you buy in a bottle.

I'm not an expert on this subject. But tea has to be 99.9% water. It's just like adding lemon to water, as I see it. Decafinated tea should be just fine, I think. I drink several glasses of green tea a day. Since green tea has no caffine, I believe I'm doing my body good. I also drink some water everyday too. I've heard only drink 1 diet soda a day, the fake sugars are not great for ya'. I drink only water and green tea.

The caffein in tea makes it a diuretic, which causes you to eliminate it relatively quickly. So no, very strong tea does not count. Weak tea, maybe.... By the way, caffein is the main reason why coffee doesn't count. However, the water contained in soup, milk, or decafeinated soda does count toward your 8 glasses a day. Enjoy!

NO, it is tea not water.
I put some lemon in my water to make it seem like I am drinking something more interesting. I drink almost a gallon a day.

As my gramma would say, "Can you take a bath in it? - if not then it isn't water." So no tea is not an adequate replacement - try adding a little lemon or berry juice to flavor your water but not so much as to make juice or lemonade just a bit (1/16 teaspoon per glass) to provide flavor but other wise plain water is the best!

As a general rule, anything with caffeine, alcohol or carbonation not only doesn't count, but actually increases your required intake.

Caffeine and alcohol are diuretics that actually cause you to release water (aka: peeing).

As long as it doesn't contain any of those three things, you're OK to count it. For me personally, I also don't count anything w/ sugar or artificial sweeteners. If you're getting your water intake, but doing so w/ a bunch of sugar, you're solving one problem but creating others.
