I think it will help out the kitty you have. My older kitty did the same thing. Just kept meowing when he wasn't getting any attention, so we got another little kitty. Since we got the new kitty, they both play around and tire themselves out. I think the only symptom that the new kitty will have is that she maybe a little tired and lazy for the first day or two. My 6 month old kitty was the same way, but as soon as we got him home he wanted to play with is little brother. Good luck with the new kitty.

For the first cat I would get a box put a heating pad in it set on warm, cover it with a towel, put a wind up clock under the towel and a couple of small stuffed animals and you can leave the TV on preferably the Animal Channel. I have two cats one 18 years old and the other 9 years old. I found the nine year old in my back yard he was 8 days old, still had his umbilical cord, the Vet said he would never make it, he did and he is beautiful he is short hair white cat with gold eyes that weight 23 pounds. Now for the second cat that is being fixed, he will need to have only shredded paper in his litter box, try not to pick him up much because it will hurt to him, if he shows too much pain take him immediately back to your Vet. I have had both of mine fixed and declawed on their front paws. They both did great and got on quite well with being fixed. If this doesn't help let me know and I'll be doing some research on it for you. Hope I helped

I just adopted a feral kitten (6 month female) a couple of weeks ago! She was already spayed but had been kept in a crate the whole time (after being rescued from the adoption agency)! So she was extremely extremely timid! She didnt know what to do when we let her out of her carrier after bringing her home! I also have a 5 year old male kitten (neutered) and I wanted to get those two acquainted! The first three days was rough (she was scared) and he was always hissing at her and even slapped her a couple times! I seperated them for the first 3 days while I was at work (to avoid any injury that could occur and she was also sick) this allowed them to hear and smell eachother without direct contact (just what my older cat needed to become familiar, yet unthreatend by her)! After 3 days I slowly brought them close to eachother and they have been the best of friends ever since! She went from being a timid and scared kitten to a playful one! I can't seperate her and my older cat! They luckily were a match made in heaven and great companions to one another! I would recommend after having your kitten spayed to seperate the two cats in order for her to tend to herself (weakness, exhaust, etc)! She will seem run-down but will eventually come around! If your other kitten takes to her and is extremely playful give them time apart while she is healing to avoid any injury! Have patience and thanks for adopting! Please do not declaw! Best of luck!

Try leaving a shirt that you wore the day before for the kitty to sleep on. It will smell like you and and give her a sense of security. "Ceeatee" may not be in the most playful mood, but the shelter should give you instructions to follow.
Good luck!

A friend will help. your cat is just adjusting to her new home. Don't worry about the cries it's just seperation anxiety, she won't do it all day only for a little bit then she will find a safe spot to hide until you return.

Get plenty of cat toys! Leave radio on low while you are away. No punk rock music. Something mellow. Cats like soothing music.

The cat simply misses her mom. Also, she is a little confused of the new flat, conditions, people. It takes time for her to get used to all of these new things...
Good luck

Why didn't you just get the cat an alarm clock? It probably misses the mothers heart beat! It'll get over it real quick!
