I have to agree English lager is p*ss -A great pint of Stella like the ones on the adverts(which have to be the best ever made-the one with the famous works of art in the pub is a classic) with a head that lasts down to the end is joy to behold-it is almost impossible to get in England.
My favourite is Hoegaarden-but at 3.50 a pint it f*ckin expensive

Perfect pint of lager? You'll probably have a long wait then. Most lager in Britain is fizzy pi*s.

Ask the Irish! It really depends on what kind of lager you are drinking. Domestic beers and lagers really have no reason to be 'built', especially if you're drinking it from a can or bottle. Tap beers are the ones that need time to be built. You're best bet is to trust the judgement of your barkeep. If he thinks its worth waiting on then it usually is! Enjoy!

There is no such thing as a perfect pint of lager - it is cat's piss.
Only women and pooves drink lager - so I am told.
If I drink beer it is real ale - not some watered down shite.

Yes, but firstly steer clear of Stella. I'm ok with it but I've met a few blokes doing time that aren't!
I wait until I'm abroad. Even the French & Spanish (wine drinkers) do better draught lager than us!

No - only an elitist beer snob thinks that - just pour it, drink it, and look around for another...if you think you need to wait around to drink the perfect suds, switch to some poufter drink like Sangria or something.

Not sure what lagar is, but it sounds more like a relationship to me. Anything having is worth waiting for to cook, prepare or eat. Good luck on your search. Just wanted to put in my comment. I hope that you didn't mind.

The best German beers are known as 7 minute beers because that's how long you have to wait for them to settle.
