you are right on the button there. Also a few years back the archaologists discovered a tomb and all agree that it was Jesus's brother (the first concrete evidence other than the bible that Jesus existed and shook the Catholic belief system which says that Mary was always till death a virgin). The council of Niccea changed a lot more than just that sadly.

The Council of Niccea's purpose was to make the Bible uniform with all the books following a certain theme. There were alot of other books they left out of the Bible. Maybe the council did what they did because they thought it was right and because they may have been worried that Jesus' divinity could be threatened. No, Jesus had brothers and sisters. No I don't think the Virgin Mary stayed a virgin after the birth of Jesus. But you have to realize that Jesus is Holy, his brothers and sisters were not.

HEAR THE BIBLE
Luke 2:7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
Compare Jude 1 with Mark 6:3, John 7:5, Matthew 13:55
Be careful about accepting what the church says and instead choose to believe what the Bible says. Let the Word of God be the authority in your life and not the word of men!!!!

The Bible clearly states that Mary and Joseph had other children, after Jesus.
Yes Mary remained a virgin until after Jesus was born.
No HE was not an only child.
They are not important to the salvation message.

No, Jesus was not an only child. Your are correct in referring to Mark 6:3-4. His brother James wrote the Book of James that we have in our Holy Bible.

No. The Bible mentions Jesus' mortal siblings. I can't remember all their names, but He had a brother named James.

Jesus was an only child.
Many scholars (who know and understand the ancient languages) will tell you that there was no word back then for cousin or step-brother etc. All were called brother. So our understanding of the word brother is not necessarily the meaning of the word the writer was using.

No. Mary and Joseph were maried so they had children, but that does not stop the fact that Jesus was concieved by God not by Joseph.

No, he was not an only child. The RC church wants you to think that because they say that not only was Jesus sinless, Mary was also. That is blatant heresy.
