look at yourself. see the difference, feel the difference.Its coming into spring, stock up on fruit and vegs. Invite friends over for dinner and a movie.
It takes a lot of courage ! Good for you!
Get a good sound track also and stick it on your walkman/mp" player and get out there. get off the bus stop one stop before your usual, walk to the shops.
Maybe get a pedometer, to make sure your getting you 10k steps a day!

Keeping off the weight once you get to your goal is not easy. Just take it one day at a time and allow yourself the occasional "cheat" day. I usually take one day a week where I can not work out if I choose and eat less healthy food than I normally eat. I don't go crazy. Just forgive yourself if you have a bad day - the next day you can make up for it! I put up pictures of myself from "before" to help remind me why I am losing weight.

Find a sports hobby that you and a friend(s) could get into- anything from yoga, water polo, kick boxing, hockey etc etc
that way it doesn't feel like sport because you are with your friends and are enjoying yourself....
thats the key- you need to enjoy yourself, lifes too short to do sport you hate just for the sake of losing weight!

type 'obese' into google image search. Check out the salad dodger in the white bikini (should be second or third image) print this picture and stick it on the fridge. This will serve as a reminder and 'motivational tool' every time you fancy a bacon,pork pie and ice cream sandwich.

Use your weight loss to your advantage so that when you meet a goal, treat yourself (in non food ways) --- to a warm bubblebath, a pedicure, a weekend away at a hotel with a pool, etc.

the best way is to allow yourself the odd day when you stuff your face and dont exercise. Rather than go on a 'diet' I just try to eat more healthily, but I dont ban anything from my diet, that way its much easier to stick too! As soon as I tell myself - I cant eat chocolate - all I want to do is eat chocolate!
Also, if you are eating tasty healthy food, and the exercise is something you really enjoy, then you wont need willpower you will look forward to it!

dieting is not a temporary thing, its a life style. in order to keep at the weight you are u can never "stuff you face" you have to keep watching what you eat.

think about all those comfort foods and imagine maggots crawling all over it.....are you put off? well good that's a start now think about all fat in your body just growing and looking wobbly. are you put off by that image?..if so that a start also
