Depends on what you are. Are you a liar, thief, murderer, child-molestor? gossiper? Vengeful? hateful? talk back to your mother? Any sins at all? Any faults? If not, then you don't need to be forgiven. Remember you chose to be what you are, you are not programmed to be any certain way. I don't know anyone who has always chosen the right thing each and every time, including myself, so we would all need to be forgiven for something. Some , like me, more than others because there are lots of people "better than me" as far as not sinning goes. Call sin anything you want: faults, shortcomings, mistakes, it's the same thing.

In an every day practical sense we may need to be forgiven for those actions which cause harm or pain to others. From a theistic perspective it never made much sense to me. A just God would surely not hold us in contempt for being as frail and faulty as they created us to be. Surely they would take some responsibility for the bad job they did in creating us. Does it make sense to make a pot in pottery class and then blame the pot for being lop sided? It would be the pot makers fault, no? Also, as an omniscient being I would think they would have a lot more compassion and insight into our failings and why we do the things we do.

When you do somethin, you do it out of free will. If you choose to do something good or bad it is your choice. I mean I know I have free will bec. I am typing this because I choose to. Everyone has free will.
I mean, if you stole money from a person, of course the moral thing is to go back and return the money. Not just that, you should admit that you were wrong for stealing and ask for forgiveness. It is your fault and you should pay for the consequences of your decisions. And compensate the person if necessary. You must admit that you are wrong. That is how we become more mature. Ask for forgiveness, even if you think the guy is "lowly" compare to you. Be humble.
Forgive people who have wronged you as well as long as they are truly sorry.
Forgiveness is of moral value. A person who cannot admit his wrongdoings is a rock.
God Bless,

One only needs to be forgiven for what one does, or in some cases doesn't do.

Great question a star for you. We don't need to be forgiven for being what we are. What we are is natural. Religion just teaches people to be ashamed of what is natural.

We don't need forgivness. Only the Abrahamic death cults of Judaism, Islam and Christianity believe this way.

But you are not being who you are...the is a false self image.
Who you really are is something else.
