My Limewire is working great on my Vista Ultimate. Do you have any 3rd party security software? Get rid of it if you do. I unistalled Norton because with Windows Defender, there are too many "leaders". You can only have one President at a time. With 3rd party security software, everyone is fighting to control your system.

Windows Defender does everything that needs to be done, and it won't block Limewire (with default settings). Norton crap or firewall software is going to conflict with everything.

If you REALLY want antivirus/firewall software, buy (or try for free) Windows Live OneCare. It's designed to work as part of the Vista OS. If you use software from a single company, everything works. If you use software from 100 companies, all hell breaks loose.

Honda makes all 4 wheels on its cars. If they made one wheel, and 3 other companies made the other 3 wheels, the car wouldn't ride very well.

For starters Windows Vista is a piece of shite. It trys to stop you from using certain programs and thats what it's doing to your computer. If you adjust a few settings in Limewire you can stop people from uploading from you. My advice is download Limewire Pro, get the newest version of it. The newest version is 4.12.11. Good Luck

DONT download limewire, it causes that many viruses to your pc that in the end you end up having to clear your computer of everything... pics, music etc!! its an absolute nightmare! thats prob why your anti-virus software wont let it download!
