I posed a question to the manufacturer but their response did not answer my question. I am hoping other Smartville owners can help!

My son loves the Smartville Train Station so we recently purchased the Smartville Treehouse. When an animal is placed on a hot spot on the Train Station, it initially IDENTIFIES itself each and every time without fail.

When an animal is placed on a hot spot on the Tree House, it initially says ANY random phrase associated with that animal.

Is it a faulty Tree House or does yours work this way too?

Thanks.

My daughter has both of these toys too. I can't remember off the top of my head but I am pretty sure that her Tree House one doesn't start out by naming the animal. I think it's some other phrase and if you keep pushing the animal down on the hot spot, eventually it will say the animals name and roar or whatever it is supposed to do. It sounds to me like yours is just fine, it is just a bit different than the train Station. If you are worried, though just return it (if you still have the box) or call the manufacturer for a better answer. Sorry I couldn't be of more help!

well it still knows what animal it is, If you look atthe box, both toys teach different things so that may be why they say different things when they are put on the spot. My daughter got one of these toys for christmas and the outher for her birthday. If you look at the bottom of each animal youll notice that the rings on each is uniqe and has a different pattern. when lined up with the little buttons on the seats, thats what determines what animal it will state.
