I was 16, he was 23 or so when we met, he went to a conference in my city, I was working in my mom's restaurant and he was attracted to me (he says he was attracted to my smile), he asked permision to my mom to talk to me, I didnt really liked him at first, we skate for a little while and we talk to each other. Then he had to go back to his city, he started to send me beautiful letters & poems, he is an architect and has gorgeous letter and does beautiful drawings, we chat on the internet now and then and we really connected and understood each other. Little by little I fell in love with him.
I admired him a lot, I felt he was absolutley wonderful. I would dream of our life together.
But there was a problem, he never visted me, he never made it clear that he watned to marry me, he would only talk about how much he admired me but he would never make it clear what he wanted from me, a friend, a lover, a wife? He was kinda ambiguos there was no clear message. Was he just idealizing me?

Personally I think the whole situation is a little off. I know that sometimes we desire what we can't have. I wouldn't suggest pursuing this relationship any further. I would suggest being yound, having a good time, and not getting so worked up over relationships like this. You have plenty of time to find Mr. Right.

I would say if he never visits you then he doesnt care enough. i would lose him and move on. Dont know how old you are now but im sure you are still young. remember your probably still unsure about who you are and what you want/like. My personal advice to anyone around 23 or younger and even older in some cases is get to know yourself. Know what makes you happy. You can never expect to make someone happy or have someone else make you happy till you know what you like and what makes you happy. Dont rush into things. Just enjoy life and stop worrying about men and the right one will find you when your not looking.

That's a 7 year difference he probably accepted that there wasn't going to be more than an attraction there or he might be waiting for you to be old enough to pursue. If you are getting attention from a guy that much older than you then you should have other guys too so don't sweat it he might come back into your life or he might not. You'll never know till it happens...

Sweetie, this guy shouldnt really have treated you this way. Long distance, age difference, all kinds of things will prevent this from turning into a serious life long relationship. I would suggest sticking with boys your own age and avoiding further communication with him. He is probably married or worse just looking for some sort of sex.

just talk to him about it! alot of people on this site dont get it! if you just talk to the person themselves they will probly be able to tell you better than anyone else on this site! no one on this site knows how he feels...tell him what your feelings are and see how he feels and then ask him for his and his oppinions

I hate to say this, but I dont think he wants anything serious. Because if he did, he would tel you. But just ask him wat he wants from you.
