Of course not. How can the personal preferences of that person invalidate my marriage? Apart from being gay, that person could be greedy, dishonest and even be a secret womanizer, how can that affect the sanctity or otherwise of my marriage and inflict the stigma of illegitimacy on my kids? It's an utterly ridiculous proposition in my opinion and view.

No, not at all. The authority given by God has nothing to do with a persons personal sin.
Jesus says in Matthew 23 - The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat. So you must obey them and do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach.
He's telling us here that the authority is still there and valid...just do not follow their example.

I think gays should stick to their own board.
I'm pretty sure there are plenty of wannabes over there that need grooming.
.
As for the person performing a sacriment there was a big heresy years ago in the church,After this was straightened out the official word is it depends on the person recieving the sacrament and not the person officialing over it.

No becuase the saction of marriage is a conventant and the convent was between the two people being married and God. Not the minister or the priest doing the service. He is just a witness. Listen to a wedding and you'll here him say that he is a witness before God of this unity. Or something to that degree.

ANY person in a religion that officiates a marriage or anything else, is INVALID! ! !
a priest, a rabbi, etc......... being from a religion that is INVALID for Spiritual issues, CANNOT offciate ANYTHING.
"religion is Spiritual fraud"; "religion is the Worse invention of humanity" - Jesus Christ
Create a private, personal, direct, divine relationship with Our Creator and save your Soul from religion.
Only with Our Creator's Love and Peace will we be Truely Free!
Without God, there is No Love; Without religion, there are No Wars!

Couples, not officials or churches or governments, make marriages valid or not.
You can be married in a well-respected church and your certificate could be issued by the highest official in the world, but if you don't have perfect love and perfect trust, and a shared Will, your marriage is a sham.

If I didnt feel "married" yep, I'd have another wedding. But Im sure there are a lot of preachers that married people that have all sorts of secrets. What if you were catholic and you found out the priest that married you was also a pediphile? Would you still be married?

The marriages are not invalid provided the secretly gay priest has previously plugged his rear end with a champagne cork.

I think the person performing the marriage is of no concern...the God is the prime presider of the Holy Matrimony...doesn't matter if the person be found unnatural...

i think a lot of people should educate themselves before answering some questions here.
oh and it is a pretty day here in oklahoma.
i have known people who were married by a homosexual, but knowingly.
now there are people who would probably want to be re-married because they found out after the fact. i feel as long as it is legal who am i to complain.
