Real talk, Babygirl.
That's not cheating.
It's the PERCEPTION of cheating.
If he's insecure - then yeah.
If he trusts you - then it's not a problem.
Remember, PERCEPTION rules our society.
Good luck!

Your boyfriend is correct, hanging out with any guy (if he isn't present) is not good. If your male friends want to hang out with you, then tell them that he will be coming along too. If your male friends object to having him there, that should tell you something about their motives and if your boyfriend doesn't want to go along, then he has to decide if he can deal with you being with them when he is not around. As far as gifts are concerned. If you are given a gift by any friend (male or female) you should tell the person that you will wait to open it until he is there. If they insist you open it right away, then refuse the gift. If they inisit on being there when you open it, then have them wait until he is there as well. If opening it in front of your boyfriend makes them uncomfortable, it will give you an idea of their motives or the content of the present. The more you include him, the less he will feel it is cheating.

My rule of thumb is that if you'd be kewl with him accepting gifts, going to movies, etc doing the same things you do with these guys with other girls......then it shouldn't be a problem. Sometimes our idea of what's wrong or right changes when the shoe is on the other foot.
Sure your dude may have an insecurity but to answer your question think about if you'd be kewl with him hanging out with other girls and accepting gifts (regardless if they were friends from before).

I don't think that is cheating especially if you knew them before you met him. It depends on what kinds of gifts they are giving you. If they are gifts a boyfriend would give you then I wouldn't accept them because I am sure you wouldn't like it if other girls were giving him presents. Does he have friends that are girls that he hangs out with?? If so then he needs to calm down.

of course its not, its you and only you that knows whats in your heart towards those guys, hanging out with male friends cannot be considered cheating.. even in the 50's that was okay sometimes. besides, act like yourself without caring how it will make him look, because being yourself should matter the most to you and him not how you make him look.

Its not cheating unless there is something more than friendship going on. Explain to yourboyfriend that you are happy with him and that you will not stop seeing male friends because of his insecurity. He should trust you. Maybe you could introduce them.
