You should bow down to the Great Spaghetti Monster, the one true god!

Have faith, you know he will answer your prayers!

Why would you think that "making sense" would have any effect on Christians' beliefs? Christians are completely uninterested in whether or not things make sense, or whether or not they're true.

Just look at the answers you got here from Christians - about 2/3rds of them simply took this as an opportunity to lie about atheists and insult them. If anything should shake Christians' faith, it's the behavior of their fellow Christians.

I am a little surprised that you got three or four mature responses from Christians, though. Congratulations, LuvNY, Roque, Scott, CeCe - I think you're wrong about your beliefs, but your respectable behavior does your religion proud.

Mostly, I welcome and enjoy atheist's questions, even the really cruel and mocking ones. Those questions give me hope...they show that at least those atheists are thinking about God, and that can't be bad.
No, my faith has never been shaken by anything any atheist has ever posted...if anything, some of thier questions have made me think and study, and that has actually strengthened my faith.
I never knew there was so much hostility toward Christians till I came on the internet...I am truly amazed, although I suppose, given our history, we should have expected it. If only people could understand...the ones who commit atrocities in the name of God are NOT doing the things Jesus taught. Please, stop blaming the LEADER for the mistakes of some of the followers...

Atheists make good arguments.

But the only way to make a Christian think is to address their beliefs with counter beliefs using pure common sense.

Jesus was not God.

No one can be %100 human and %100 God.

simply because %100 human implies he had all the characteristics of a human being, and that he had sexual desires and a tendency to be evil like any one else.

God, however, is beyond and above all that.

Ive not met a single Christian who could refute my claim so far.

And thats just a small taste of the arguments I can bring up to them as challenge.

lol am not even atheist.

No, every time there is a comment against God, I grow just a little more in my faith and a bit closer to God....

Atheists are actually good for Christians at times. They make us think about our faith.

But obviously, I would rather be seeing everyone worshipping the Lord.

Atheists and non-beliievers of Christ are in my prayers.

God Bless

No, my faith isn't shaken by them. Nor is their skepticism shaken by anything that I or any other Christian might say to them. I wish that everyone would realize this and stop beating their heads against the wall. Posting these silly questions is like standing on the street corner preaching hell fire and damnation. If we're truly to understand one another, patient, calm dialogue is required, as well as an open mind for seeing, even if not agreeing with, the other side's point of view.

You know, Jesus never shoved faith down anyone's throat. He was kind to them, and was always willing to explain things to those who asked. But he never shoved it down anyone's throat. If we Christians would try to practice evangelism in a more Christ-like manner, we probably wouldn't be viewed as such extremists by non-Christians. Remember, while we are commanded to take the Gospel to all nations, it is the Holy Spirit -- not any of us -- that makes the seed take root.

No, they're shaken by ours. Why else would they wast thier time. After all, we are an ignorant and foolish people, worshiping a god we can not see or prove. Still they feel threatened by christians don't they. In fact if one really looks at it, they don't seem to be atheists at all. Most are mearly anti-christian. The rest put thier faith in things, themselves, other people, governments, ecet. But most don't bother with other belief systems, so I think it's cause we're on the right path. My guess is a real atheist wouldn't be concerned. If you have no faith in such things, they wouldn't be threatened by us, would they?

My faith is definitely not shaken by the atheists on this board. It has shown me how much hatred, mocking, disrespect and ridicule there is among many atheists though. I find it very sad that people are acting this way.

Well that's an offensive prejudice. To claim that atheists make no sense is to take away meaning from all parts of their lives, not just their belief in no god. Is it really absolutely neccessary to do that just to score a cheap shot ?

The Christians are lying- they are stung by atheist comments on here- but in any case the idea isn't to shake their faith it's to plant seeds of doubt in their mind that will come to fruition in the fullness of time.
