because the prince of the air, the god of this world is blinding them, and we need to stand in the gap for some of these people up here and pray that the power of God penetrates their hearts. That Satan take his hand of their life, and they can see clearly, when the scales fall off their eyes, like it did mine, they'll wish they had known Him sooner!!!!!

For me personally, the one thing that totally convinced me was having a personal 'experience' of Him ie a knowing that something was there with you... that feeling of another loving spirit with you, during prayer etc. Knowing that the spirit world is real and that Jesus is real undoubtedly has an impact.

But I appreciate for those who haven't been fortunate enough to have a similar 'spiritual experience' then it must be very difficult indeed to believe in it all. I've been lucky, that sort of thing certainly doesn't happen very often... but when it did it was enough to convince me that it was real.

Just because some book tells you Jesus was real, why should you believe it? I agree that it is good to be skeptical and not accept something blindly (particularly the media these days).. so if all you got to go on is a book, I can understand why many people have doubts.

I can testify though that from my experiences, Jesus was/is certainly real and is still 'living' today (although not in the typical sense as we know it, the ethereal/spiritual/afterlife kind of 'alive')

I recommend taking a look at some people's near death experiences on this site. VERY interesting to say the least.. and it's not a 'Christian' site (or any religion). Just spiritual stuff.

Simply because they don't believe in Jesus.
Do you have real proof that you can demonstrate that he existed/exists, I guess not, so why would anyone take your word for it.
Let me ask you a question that is for all religious believers out there:
Why can't YOU accept that some people have other views and opinions different to yours regarding religion, and leave others to their own. After all it is their destiny what they do or don't do with their life, and if not accepting Jesus or religion is part of it, then so be it!!

I Cor. 1:18 and 2 Thess. 2;10-12 - John 3;19 - 2 Cor.4:3,4

I know.....it's very hard to understand, but when someone decides
that they just do NOT want to believe in the TRUTH, satan is there
to take full advantage and wrap the minds of those who reject God in further deception until they can no longer find their way out
to SEE the TRUTH that is right before them and the eternal danger that they are in.

We cannot go and shake them to MAKE them SEE the truth even
when it's for their own sake and they facing an eternity that is so much more horrible than they can imagine and it will be then that
they will be tormented with the TRUTH that they denied while they
were alive on this earth, but then it will be forever too late for them
to change their minds --- That will surely be the greatest torment in eternal hell....

Matt.7;13,14 - John 3:36 - John 8:24 - Ez.33. - 2 Cor.5;20.

I have loved ones who are lost still and the only thing that I can do
is to keep praying that God will send someone who can reach them. Even the members of Jesus" earthly family did not want to
hear Him or take Him seriously...but I will NEVER give up on my family and friends who need to know the love of God through His dear Son.....

GOD BLESS YOU IN THE NAME OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOR!!

GRACE AND PEACE BE TO YOU FROM GOD THE FATHER AND FROM THE LORD JESUS CHRIST..... :-)

People have a "RIGHT" that is above any religion or religious belief. It is called FREE WILL.

The people have the right to believe or not to believe in Jesus (or in whatever they want for that matter), and we must respect their decision, whether that decision is to become an Atheist, Catholic, Muslim, Pagan, Protestant, or Satanist, etc.

Would you accept if I go to preach you about Paganism? What would you do if I try? I'm sure you won't like it. Then, that's how unbelievers feel when Christians harass them with preachings about Jesus love. Respect is a two way street.

If God exists and is a god of love why do people get murdered? why do they get cancer? why do children get abused?
If god and jesus watch over us and love us like children, they are doing a pretty poor job.
The 'free will' thing spouted by the religious is a cop out. I have kids; I will let them live their lives but I won;t do anything - or let them do anything to themselves - that would harm them.
If we are god's children, he is, at best a lousy deity that can't cope with what he supposedly created and at worst an evil deity, guilty of abusing his children for his own sick pleasure. If he's heaven I'll take the other place thanks.
Thank god I am an atheist!

I think there are two reasons why people wont accept this fact that we who do believe find so vital.
The first is that they do not fully understand his love, or who it is that offers it, because many people (through no fault of their own) have not heard or understood the clear message of God, or have their own understanding of God which isnt necessarily true
I think that the second and main reason is that people dont want to accept God's love for them in sending his son for them on the cross as it means they need to give up their own views that they are "good enough" in God's eyes, which i have no doubt is not easy for anyone to accept

A few people have already picked up on my first thought.
There's a big difference between "accepting" (taking what is being offered) and "excepting" (rejecting).
I think you should check your spelling and ask your question again!
And hey, your Avatar just vanished! Divine intervention???!!!!

The Bible says many things, some true, some patently untrue, as do many other ancient books. The main problem I have is that people turn around & say that this one is the absolute truth, & all the others are stories.

He may have died for us, but what is the price he is asking of us? Our lives? So it doesn't really seem like he actually is following through on his promise to set us free. I can see why this makes people skittish.

It would be easier to accept if the chain of evidence hadn't been tinkered with so much over the last 2000 odd years. Spin doctors have been around longer than you think.
