Get yourself a telephone with a caller ID. It is as simple as that. If it is your cell phone, then go to calls received or missed calls menu and find out. All the best.

you can usually press *67 and it tells you the number that just called.
or if you have caller ID
if someone is actually SPEAKING with you, and not just calling you and hanging up.....Ask them..WHO THE HECK ARE YOU? and why you callin me in the mornin*
