Hi I just got recommended this hair dye by someone and it is the worse hair dye for fading I reckon. I have dye my hair 3 times with this in the pasy 3 weeks as the colour keeps fading. Its rubbish, also the number have all changed. I have a box waiting here now to use but i know it will only fade out the second wash. So last week I used Live colour and the colour isnt fading or washing out much. Yes they all fade but 100% colour actually washes out, I have dye it that much with this colour this last month my hair has go dry. So I just got a colour similar to the 100% colour one and the colour is staying put.

I wouldnt recommend using these anymore in the future. Try loreal or live volours. Also if you looking for a really good semi which last longer and doesnt fade as much as most permenants use Casting, or movida. They dont damage the hair as much and you can get it in the black you want to.

Blacks shouldnt wash out so easy as this is the most difficult colour to get out. I have the Garnier 100% colout black on the underneath my hair and everytime I wash it it come out more and more. I tried to dye the top dark brown using the same make I got the Frosted Brown in 100% colour and like you it was nearly out on the second wash. I also tried just the darker brown in the 100% colour and it still didnt work. So i use live colour bitter sweet chocolate and it coverd the black and the brown on top and is all nearly one colour. So i suggest you use Cosmic Blue in Live colour as its the same as Blue Black.
Also if you check on the Garnier 100% colour website you will find all the numbers if the hair dyes have changed. I got Black and the number for the black on the website is the number for the blue/black.

Well, there can be a number of different reasons. The blue/black dyes don't stay as long as most other colours anyway, so this may be one reason.

Also, if it's not Garnier you normally use, you might not have left it on for long enough. Some recommended times are too short, but if you haven't used this particular one before you wouldn't be used to it.

I have never used Garnier before so I can't give you my personal slant on it, (I use L'oreal) but my mum has used it a whole once when she couldn't get her normal dye then never used it again it because she was so dissatisfied with it. Try writing to Garnier and see what they say, if nothing else they might give you your money back! Worth a try! ;-)

We find that occurs when someone has changed medication or when a woman is having her period. The imbalances of hormones can have a strange effect on colours.
I would advise to wait a few days and try again.
It has been known for products to be 'off' too. Hydrogen peroxide goes weak if it comes in contact with air so there may have been a packaging problem.
Either way another packet in a few days should sort it out.

Be sure when you color you use a Permanent color...it's usually a 3. Also, I find that when I color my hair, it sometimes takes longer than the box says. Be sure to do a test before you color so you get the desired results. Another thing you can try once you have colored your hair is go buy John Freida's Luminous Color Glaze. There's three shades....blonde, brunette and red. They help keep the color longer. Good Luck!!

Blacks tend to fade or loose there shine rather quickly. You could try buying a shine spray (good one for £20) will bring back the life. Wouldn't re-colour yet or your hair will dry out.
