see my bf cheated on me like a year ago and this girl is saying he is the father of her now 2 month old baby. even though he says he isn't I asked him why don't u go and get a test done and he says that she has to go and ask for one that he can't b/c they want let him. Well i want to know does the mother have to go and ask for one or the guy she is trying to say is the father having to ask for one. I know deep down he is the father but he want admit to it b/c he is 20 and she is 16. me and him are the same age.

Either one can ask for the DNA test. If he is proven to be the father and he has asked for the test, he will have to pay for the test. If is his not the father and either one has asked for it, she will have to pay cause well it is her fault she didn't know who the father was. But, either way, either one of them can request the test no matter what. And if the other doens't consent, then they can be held in contempt of court!

A) Find a new boyfriend - this one is a loser. If that is his child, and he isn't willing to try and verify that it is - then he's most likely trying to avoid paying support. Classless cretin - you can do better.
B) If the mother is claiming he is the father, and he is claiming not, then he can demand DNA testing - sounds to me like the loser is afraid of the answer because he wants to duck out on having to pay support, as mentioned before.
C) Dump the jerk.

He can ask for the test, or he can continue to deny the child is his until she or her parents insist on the test. He will be responsible for child support until that child is 18 years old unless he is proved to NOT be the father.
