My Think my new boss hates me!?

Question

I just started a new job 1 1/2 weeks ago.
Well i work at a drug store and my new assistant manager belittles me. She's super nice to everyone else.
I caught on pretty fast as the front cashier and i get customers out fast with out resulting to long lines. Customers love me, i'm always smiling and having small talk while completing their transactions to make them feel welcomed (like a friend).
Well 3 days ado the boss of mine came and yelled at me for being too fast! Crazy i know, then a female customer came to me to purchase a Star magazine and said she could'nt believe she shaved her head, i said i know and it's on every paper we're we have to keep looking at it in, in a happy friendly kinda way. Well my boss yelled at me in front of her saying it's britney's business what she does ..so mind your own business no one will say a thing if you shaved your head. So i said it is our business if it's plastered everywhere so why u yelling if it's not work related.. too be continued

while still taking care of the customer i said jokingly we can debate on this for hours and i wished the customer a nice day, so then boss yelled at me and said NO WE WONT it ends now i'm right! Now go count your till!
Why she hate me when i'm doing a great job for being new and make customers happy, always staying busy in between.
I go in 15 minutes earlier never complain. Also how do i deal with her, usually i smile and say no problem, because i guess kill them with kindness works and she don't like that i'm not threaten by her!

Wow what a ice crotch. To the person who answered right before i did, she may be the boss but she can't tell this girl not to have an opinion about a celebrity, especially if the customer was the one asking her about it, was she suppose to ignore customer then get in trouble for ignoring a customer.
Boss or no boss no one diserves to be yelled at like that especially in front of customers, also if it's not job related.
Also the working to fast part, aren't people in retail or customer service told to get customers out fast, people have jobs to get to or are on lunch break and needing to pick up prescriptions on break.
I say you sound like a great employee to have, we need more like you, that make the customer really feel welcomed while giving us fast service.
I'm also glad the customers show their appreciation for your LOL speedy friendlinest effecient attitude! If that made sense lol.
She has got to be jealous of how fast you learned eveything, because new people usually need time to learn and feel comfortable in their new position.
Also she may be envious of your outgoing personality,and the attention you get from customers.
Kill her with kindness is good and more mature, if things get worse go to Human Resources.
I mean obviously your personality from what i've read doesn't sound to me like a toublemaker making things up to get the boss in trouble.

Wow.. it seems like your doing a good job working too fast and being friendly and all. She has some issues with you I guess?? Why dont you just ask her straight up about it.. do you have a problem with me?? have I done something to you?? If you cant work it out that way take it above her head to the manager.

She sounds insane. If u have someone higher up then her I suggest u tell this person about the lunitic also u may want to have some proof since she has been there longer. Like a hidden camera or tape recorder to have some proof otherwise the top boss would believe her.

apparently some bosses are like that.

maybe she resents you for doing such a good job!
maybe when she was working in your position (if she ever did) she wasnt as good as you, and now she is jealous or is feeling threatened by you.


maybe you should ask her about it. ask her why she's treating you the way she is..because (from what youve written) you seem like an excellent employee that anyone should be happy to work with!
but ask her in a polite manor, somewhere private. you dont want to end up losing youre job!!

It is doubtful she has any personal dislike for you.
You are simply taking it personal. Like it or not she is
the Boss and in charge. You are the employee and there
to do the job as the boss indicates it be done. So if you
want to please the boss politely comply with her rules
or find another job.
Talking back (deserved or not) is not going to win you
any favors......your not in a possition to be telling the
boss how things are going to be. When your the boss
you can establish the rules.................

Sound like she is a bit intimidated by you for some reason. Maybe she is afraid you will take her job? If she is the assistant, I would let your feelings be known to your head manager.

maybe she is jealous from you because u are good at your job and maybe better then her so ignore her and u know that she will stop eventually and u do what u have to do and u will see u are going to be the best and don't bother ur self with a selfish person like her. best of luck friend

she must have issues!!! is there someone over her head you can talk to, because it sounds as if she DOES have a personel problem with you...does she treat anyone else this way? She also has no right aty all to belittle you....
