The Scotland People site has recent as well as Old Parish Register births. My surname originates in Wigtonshire and the records show back to the 1500s. Amazing considering how difficult it is in the USA to get some 1800 records. Anyway, here are a few other sites to help you in Scotland.

On Scotlands People, you can search and get info for free, but when you want a physical record you must order and pay.
