Liposuction is not a weight-loss method. It is intended to be used only for sculpting and shaping certain body areas (i.e. trimming down the outer thigh/hip area, or getting rid of a hefty underarm).

Please don't consider it simply for the sake of your wedding. While you want to look your best and be a beautiful bride, the wedding is not about looking good and putting on a show. A wedding is about celebrating the marriage between you and your beloved. Concentrate on all the days AFTER the wedding and you'll be better off in the long run. And I'm sure your fiancé finds you beautiful just as you are.

Another thing to consider is that bad things can happen to those who get lipo. I've seen some horrendous botch-jobs that have horribly disfigured well-intentioned people. It's crippling and permanent. If you're considering any cosmetic procedure, make sure you do your homework. Make sure the medical staff and the surgeon specifically are board-certified for the procedure(s) you want to have done. Also, scars take upwards of 1-2 years to completely disappear or get to a point where their appearance is minimal. Do you really want to chance having scars on your wedding day?

You don't have much to lose. You have plenty of time between now and June to drop the weight and tone up. You'll not only look better, you'll feel better, too!

Good luck and congrats on your upcoming marriage!

P.S. The links below give some good info on liposuction. The 2nd one, in particular, is a good one to peruse with regard to questions you need to ask.

You will really be a fat person in a skinny body...what I mean by that is that your body didn't do the work naturally so you will still have the health problems associated with being overweight. You should loose as much weight as you can without this procedure. Even if you get lipo you will have the problems with the flabby skin.

Oh goodness, don't do this. Everyone at the wedding knows you and loves you. Your size is part of who you are. No one at all is going to look down upon you for being a larger bride. But if you suddenly get lipo, everyone is going to know that you did it just for the wedding. Then, they WILL look at you funny.

Besides, you lost the weight naturally once. You can do it again.

i personally would never have any type of plastic surgery just to look good. the only way id consider plastic surgery would be if i was disfigured or if i had a breast removed. i think people who have any type of plastic surgery just for looks other than a medical reason are very vain.

there are so many risks with lipo suction. why would you want to put yourself at risk? im sure you future husband loves you the way you are. you could always go to the gym and try to loose extra pounds if you feel you need to. lipo is a quick fix, its not permanent.

You have 6 months! You can lose those inches, weight, and tone up your body with a healthy diet and moving your feet. Dont get lipo! ITS expensive, you will be sore, and its not the healthy way.

No, you can die from lipo. Would rather have the wedding, and a wonderful married life!

Try to do i naturally, its more rewarding in physical level due to the exercise to reach that goal, rather than spending money on an unnecessary procedure.

If I could handle the bill, I would in a heart beat! You would have time to recover, but maybe you should try a little more strict diet and exersize regimin first, I mean thats waaaaay cheaper and you don't run as much risk....

Oh gosh. Please don't! Lipo comes with all sorts of VERY serious health risks (including death). Do it the healthy way- with diet and exercise.

Don't do it. If you gain the weight back it will look lop-sided and odd. A diet would be better.
