It is useful because it is convenient for accessing a large amount of information about virtually any topic you could name. The problem is sometimes also that the quality of the information, the accuracy and whether it contains any bias, needs to be sorted through very carefully. Some websites such as dictionaries and data bases like Britannica Encyclopedia are very useful.

My, my, but by performing a search using one of (or more) the many Search Engines (Google, Yahoo) you will find just about anything under the sun!
No kidding. Try googling just any old word or a phrase--what you'll find in the search is near miraclulous for any internet user--it's something many spend a great deal of time doing, especially those involved with education.
