My husband and I bought a new one back in '04 -- it's his baby, he loves it. It's a great car. It's fast, handles great and looks great too. He's even had it chipped, now it's pushing even more hp.
If you can find one - buy it. They only made 5000 of the 2004's. You'll have something that not everyone else has.

From what I've read, a sweet car, but just a bit too heavy to be perfect. For what is essentially a VW Golf with 250 hp and AWD, I'd love to have one. Quite a rarity in the US, although hopefully the new model will make it here.
I love quick and stealthy cars, so the VW would probably be great fun.

You will love the car I have driven to and the handling is just awesome, you wont regret it. Remember you can always supercharge it.

is a great car but a bit too pricy... over $30,000... but then again its cheaper than fixing up a rabbit or gti
