I've just retired as the Budget Officer of a major US National Park. All financial data related to the parks is public information. I suggest you look into how park funding is spent, since each park has a specific appropriation which must be spent in support of the activities Congressionally authorized and directed for that park. Most parks have Business Management Plans which will help you, and most parks have a person on the financial staff willing to spend time answering questions.
