How Do I Choose A Religion?

Question

Or should I choose a philosophy to live by? The things are that are bits and pieces of each that I like. I see LaVeyan Satanism as interesting along with Buddhism and Taoism. I’m also interested in the metaphysical. Spirits, ghosts and demons. But I also like the sciences, like biology and psychology

Currently I'm not part of any religion.

Decide what you want your life to be about and then focus on reality.

You can choose to worship cheese if you want, and that would be fine as long as the cheese doesn't influence you to hurt other people.

Cheese might be the best way to go, I have never heard of anyone damning another to hell in the name of cheese. I have never heard of cheese terrorists, or cheese evangelists. Sounds like a step up from most established religions out there.

start by reading the 3 main books. Bible Qur'an and Torah. which ever one suits you most choose the religion. do what comes from your heart. if it doesn't come from the heart no prayer, nor good deed will help you. Just remember God is always there for you. I'm not forcing you or anything but Islam is a good religion. A religion of peace. (Islam = Salam= peace in arabic) so i offer it to you and i invite you. think about it though. If you feel another relgion is better and if your heart fits into it then go for it. Believing in God is important. and if you have picked the wrong religon, eventually i think you will find the right way. May God bless you.

I think you sound more disturbed then anything but your best bet is to go to different churches, get to gethers or worship studies and see which one you like the best. I think that you will beable to understand that religion more better and you can see if you believe those things or if you need to go somewhere else. I dont classify myself or have an exact religion either... I believe different parts of different religions and dont consider myself just one thing. you can search online or in the phone book different religious organizations and go out there and do some research of your own. I think that each religion is pretty much the same thing but we pray or worship a different symbol. Start readin more up on it all...its very interesting good luck to you

Satanism and Taoism are opposites. I am not sure of Buddhism. You can be almost any religion and study the sciences.

You can live your life by selfish means placing yourself as priority one, which is Satanism. It is a bit shallow, and lacking of character though.

I believe God made biology and laws of physics with spirit power.
I also believe that there are things in the bible that support many things in science today, but that would only make me seem biased if you don't accept it.
