Leviticus sound quite erotic, no?
I detest lobster. Perhaps that is why God disallows its consumption. Perhaps God is like me... Perhaps I am God...

Is shrimp or pork bad to eat?
First of all they are scavengers. If you go back in the Old Testament; God distinguished what foods we should eat and which one's we shouldn't. Now if you decide too; that's your choice, but some groups don't because it's an abomination to eat anything unclean. Isn't our body the temple of God as stated in 1Cor.3:18-19? We supposed to take care of our body and be in good health (3John 1:2).
Shrimp are made to eat the garbage under the sea floor; they carry diseases too. The pig is a scavenger too; it eats the slop on the earth and if you looked under a microscope of cooked ham; you will find worms in it. You really want tricinosis and diseases and things in your body?
** TEXTS THAT INVOLVE THE CLEAN AND UNCLEAN MEATS:
GEN.18:7-8; LEV.11; 20:25; DEUT.14; ISAIAH 66:17; EZEK.22:26; DAN.1:8; MATT.3:4; LUKE 24:41-43; ACTS 10:10-14; 1COR.3:16-17; 9:27; 2COR.6:17; AND REV.21:8.
----IF THE CLEAN AND UNCLEAN MEATS WEREN'T VALID FOR TODAY; THEN WHY OH WHY WOULD THE LORD PLEAD WITH FLESH NOT TO EAT UNCLEAN MEAT--(ISAIAH 66:15-17). ALSO NOTICE DEUT.14:4 "SHALT NOT EAT ANY ABOMINABLE THING" AND REV.21:8 "...THE ABOMINABLE SHALL HAVE THEIR PART IN THE LAKE WHICH BURNETH WITH FIRE AND BRIMSTONE: WHICH IS THE SECOND DEATH."

The laws in Leviticus never applied to anyone other than Jews. The 613 commandments found in the Tanach (OT) are obligations accepted by Jews as part of our Covenant (contract/testament) with God. When Christians broke away from Judaism, they were no longer a part of that contract and had no obligations to God.
Those 613 commandments were never applicable to atheists, Muslims, Buddhists or anyone else. Non-Jews are bound only by the seven Noahide laws.
The only reason Christians align themselves with Judaism is for authenticity. Jews do not need Christianity to explain their existence or their origin, but Christians cannot explain their existence without Judaism.

Yes. Also a bummer for the people that eat those unclean scavengers - their health will suffer in the long run.
Edit: Noah knew about clean & unclean animals so it didn't start in Leviticus. And read the rest of the section on Peter's dream. Peter explained it himself - God was telling him to call no MAN clean or unclean, he was not telling him it was OK to eat anything he wanted. Our bodies haven't changed from OT to NT...it's still unclean to eat a creature that eats poop. Not good nutrition, people.

Isn't it a bummer that the laws of Leviticus only apply to those who are practicing Jews, since we have been liberated from the old laws through Jesus. Why dont you pick up the Bible and actually read it sometime.

Leviticus says it's unhealthy. Adventist Christians agree.

Oh they don't follow Leviticus anymore. Those are the old laws. Unless it has to do with homosexuality. For some reason, those still apply. Selective enforcement of the rules!

It's a shame for the lobsters that Christians aren't under the Mosaic Law code anymore and can now eat all the seafood we want.
Good for me, though! I love the stuff!
