My mother's middle name was Lou, and my mother in law's middle name is Louise.

I am 7 weeks pregnant, and would like to use Louis as a boy's middle name.

But, my husband and I like Jack or Nathan as a first name, and it just doesn't roll of the tongue nicely.

If you are going to go with one of those names then you definetly should choose Nathan...it just sounds better with Louis as the middle name. Try looking at some baby name books and I am sure you will find alot more names that mesh well together. Good luck to you and congratulations

I think the Nathan Louis sounds great. It rolls off of the tongue very well.

Sure. There have been many famous Louis's in history. Louis Armstrong. Louis Pasteur. King Louis I-XVI. Okay, that's basically it. Unless you count Kurt Russell. Who is unrelated, but the best thing to happen in the past 2 years. You have to admit, though, that's 18 solid picks.

Give the boy 2 middle names, like Jack Edward Louis or Nathan.

If that didn't help and you still choose jack louis, don't worry. you'll get used to it. after 6 years of calling him that it will seem fine.

Nathaniel Louis sounds good.

His friends will end up calling him Nat' Dog anyway, and he'll be well accepted with that.

that sounds like a wonderful name, louis, especially john louis, you go with whatever you and your husband decide, now when i was picking my girl's name, me and my girl's father both decided on dominique and he let me pick the middle name and i found a baby book and decided on brooke and he went with it even though i heard it from my mother but i told her thats my choice, she told me that i might regreat it, but you know what, she loves her name, my girl does anyway and is glad i picked it for her, so you go with whatever you and your husband decide.
