an .iso file is an "image" of a dvd or cd. Essencially, it is the dvd or cd....just in a single file format. I use daemon tools for .iso files and it works well with other image files too.

What you would do is install daemon tools then run it. It will pop up in your system tray then you right-click on it and select "mount image file." Find your .iso you want to run and it will autorun like a cd! Daemon tools creates a virtual cd/dvd drive so it works just like a regular optical drive, but faster!
