When trinitarians grasp at straws such as these, they work to prove themselves truly desperate for some underpinnings other than human tradition and Greek philosophy. The bible plainly does not support trinitarianism, and this particular argument is laughable.
When Matthew 18:20 says that Jesus would be 'in the midst' of 'two or three gathered in Jesus' name', Jesus is plainly referring to the fact that the Holy Spirit would help those two or three humans recall the teachings of Christ during their deliberations.
(John 14:15-26) You [Christians] will observe my commandments; and I will request the Father and he will give you another helper to be with you forever, the spirit of the truth... While remaining with you I have spoken these things to you. But the helper, the holy spirit, which the Father will send in my name, that one will teach you all things and bring back to your minds all the things I told you.
How do we know that Jesus need not literally be in the presence of each group of two or three Christians? Consider whether the apostle Paul was in the presence of the Corinthians, in a physical or spirit body, when they received his letter. Neither! He was in another city many miles away; still Paul's teachings and 'mental inclinations' would be recalled by the group.
(1 Corinthians 5:3-4) I [the apostle Paul] for one, although absent in body but present in spirit, have certainly judged already, as if I were present, the man who has worked in such a way as this, that in the name of our Lord Jesus, when you are gathered together, also my spirit with the power of our Lord Jesus
Thanks for another opportunity to expose trinitarianism as having no connection with bible truth!

Thank you pmzenz for clarify Jesus is not his father the creator.
As you pointed out that Jesus can exist as a spirit creature but he names his father as a separate being in the verse before it.
Matt 18:19 - "it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven."
As primoa points out Jesus existed prior to Abraham (John 8:58) so we know again he can exist as a sprit creature.
John 10:30 Says Jesus and his father are one...but one what??? They are both divine spirits creatures where Jesus always proclaimed his father is greater then he. John 10:29"...My Father, which gave [them] me, is greater than all"
Col 2:9-10 - Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace are names given to Jesus (Is. 9:6) So Jesus is a God with Authority given to him from his father. MATT 28:18-20 "I have been GIVEN complete authority in heaven and on earth."
Jesus goes on to say his father is God and he is a LORD (1 Cor. 8:4-6). The Son even though existed in God's form is not equal to the father. (Phil 2:5-6, John 14:28, 1 Cor 11:3) Jesus is the son of God, not God himself. (John 20:31, Mark 13:32). Jesus will or wish is different from his father's hence no Trinity. (Luke 22:42) No man has seen Jehovah God at any time hence no Trinity since the Jews had seen his Son who must not be God the creator. (John 1:14,18)
1 Timothy 2:5 - For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, a man, Christ Jesus.
(John 16:19,23) Jesus knew they were wanted to question him, so he said to them: “...If you ask the Father for anything he will give it to you in my name.

Hello. That seems like a fair question. However, I respectfully ask.. What makes you think he was speaking of being with them physically? Jesus acts on his Father's authority and is granted the power of the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit is like electricity. You can have your television on at the same time as your computer and your refrigerator right? It exists and can power any number of things in your home simultaneously. Same with Jehovah's Holy Spirit. It need not be confined to one moment in space & time.
Redglory: Please notice that the scripture you sited in Isaiah does not say ALmighty God. Merely mighty God. There's a big difference. Jesus is, indeed a mighty God. He is now the Archangel, head over all of God's angelic creation. Are you aware that the Apostle Paul referred to Satan himself as "the god of this system of things that was blinding the eyes of the unbelievers? (1 Cor. 4:4)
Another scripture for you to consider:
1 Corinthians 8:5-6 ... .For even though there are those who are called “gods,” whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many “gods” and many “lords,” there is actually to us one God the Father, out of whom all things are, and we for him; and there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things are, and we through him.

He did not mean he would be with them physically. Same thing with what he said at Matt. 28:20: "...I am with you all the days untill the conclusion of the system of things." Was Jesus' physically with his disciples after he returned to heaven? No.
He meant that he was interested with what was going on with them and that he would give them the needed support.
Jesus is not God; he is God's Son. John 10:36. He said his Father was the ONLY true God at John 17:3. "Only" means: one of a kind; unique. If Jesus' Father is the only true God, how could Jesus ALSO be the only true God?

When you are talking to a friend, who lives far away from you and say to them -
"While you are enduring this or that particular thing I will be with you"
do you mean literally? standing right next to them?
No, you mean that your thoughts, prayers, your SPIRIT will be with them. You will be offering your support in that way.
Same with Jesus in this statement - he is "in the midst" of us when we gather in his name by means of Holy Spirit - watching over us. Not literally, omnisciently, in the room.

Your thinking in terms of material form.
Jesus was an ark angel prior to his existence on earth. He had charge over many angels. Both before and after his earthly existence. Therefor is it not reasonable that Angels who are also messengers might carry on his work world wide?
Many of us put an "A" in front of God. Jesus is "A" God. Granted eternal life by his father Jehovah "GOD" ALMIGHTY!

I assume that unless he was omnipresent, that you would not have Christ in your heart?
By the way, it shoud be noted that a mighty god gets its existence and power from an almighty god.

Amen.
For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority. (Col 2:9-10)
I still haven't had suffice explanation to Isaiah 9:6...where it lists the titles for the prophesied messiah...
One of them outright says "MIGHTY GOD" (my question was how can anyone deny the 'deity' of Christ?)
not to mention the 'Immanuel' part ("God with us")
It'll be interesting to see how they 'dance around' this one.
*I realize you asked Jehovah Witnesses this question, and sorry for intruding --- but I was still looking for answers to my question also, and I was hoping some of them might read it here.*
From what I understand, they believe He was a prophet & God's Son, but NOT God... (?!??!?!?!?)
