Well, If you're a doctor or a scientist, I don't think you will be saying "making love".

For couples, "making love" can mean something more than just physical contact but a "whole body" experience; meaning- mind body, and spirit are joined as one.

Sex is the physical act of reproduction. Animals have sex they don't make love. You can have sex with someone you just met, that's not love.

Making love takes time and is emotionally deeper.

For men SEX is purely a physical (almost mechanical) activity. Love is not required. Some kind of attraction usually is, but not love. MAKING LOVE is having sex with someone you either love, or like a lot. You approach it differently. It's not just about YOU getting off. You also want to please her, while also strengthening the bond between you.

I'm sure it CAN be the same for women, but traditionally they romanticize SEX as Making Love.

To me, sex is just something people do. It feels good but doesn't mean all that much. I mean, you can have sex with anyone but you wont nessessarily be making love. On the other hand, nothing compares to making love. It's when you having sex, but you can literally feel the passion coming off of each other. You look into each others eyes and you both know that there is nowhere that you would rather be. You don't make love to many people in your lifetime. What I mean is, you don't get that feeling with many people you sleep with. When you do get that feeling, you know your making love.

Yes there is a difference. Sex is just the action, but making love has emotional feelings and connections with it.

For me, sex is pure physical, feeling. It's just pleasure, with no emotion. Making love is full of emotion, and a way of expressing my love for my husband. Making love is more romantic, slow, takes more thought and isn't as self indulgent. Plain sex, well simply put you do it to feel good. It's very self indulgent, and self absorbed. No you do not necesarilly make love all the time when you're married either. Often it's just sex. Once in awhile, when consumed with emotion, then you make love.

Depends on your personality and the importance you place on the act.

Sex to me, is the act itself. Just for the moment.

Making love involves emotions.

You make love to the one you actually love. But, you can also just have sex with the one you love.

Depends on state of mind at the moment is p'haps the way to differentiate them.

making love is an expresion of deep seated feelings for a partner. Sex is a way of expressing carnal desire. You can have sex with anyone, but making love is special and meaningful. It is not the same as a bit of nookie
