Sometimes it can take up to 13-14 days for both eyes to fully open. Do not force the eye open! This can cause permanent damage to the eye. If you see any mucus or "sand" in the eyes, gently wipe it with a warm wash cloth. If the eye is secreting any fluids or is swollen and pink on the inside lid, it is an eye infection. Terramycin Ophthalmic antibiotic ointment is used all the time by cat breeders, vets and cat owners for these issues. It is a small tube of medication that can usually be bought at a local pet store. However, if you do not feel comfortable using this medication on your own; seeking a vet's advice wouldn't be a bad idea. Hope this helps and good luck.

the probability is that the kitten gets around to it is going to honestly - there is time yet, so do not initiate getting nervous until 14 days on the very earliest - it could desire to take longer. If the kitten's eyes extremely do not open take it to the vet. I also have a cat - now 15 - who's eyes did not open appropriate. He had an operation to open them, yet his eyes of course did not form appropriate, and he's amazingly blind. It does not supply up him hiking the furnishings and having an extremely finished existence however, and that i does not be without him!

How long have the others have their eyes open? My vet says they usually open their eyes at about 10 days old but some may open a little earlier.

Kittens open their eyes at 7-10 days. They start becoming mobile anywhere from two to four weeks, just depending on their development

don't force its eye open, is it the runt of the litter? this may be a reason, or it could simply be a watery eye, like conjunctivitis, if you are really worried after a few days then try seeking a vets help, or you could try bathing it very gently in cooled boiled water. this may help, but im sure that it is nothing to worry about.

Most likely, it will open when it's ready. Do not try to force it! If you think there may be something wrong with it, take it to the vet to make sure it isn't stuck or grown shut. Just don't do it yourself, you can cause damage from opening it prematurely.

Baby kitties' eyes should open fully after 10 days. Any longer than that and it's take it to the vet.
