Just say that you are Catholic and you don't know much about your husband's religion, but that you two have decided to leave each other's faiths alone.
No one is offended,
No more need for preachings and
Husband is defended.
Everyone wins!

Tell her it is America and that is the right you have to choose your religion, but the types of people that really abuse this are born again Christians, people who quit smoking and recovering alcoholics. I believe the word I would choose is Hippocrits. The best answer is a least he believes in something, and If she is going to preach at you about it, maybe she missed her calling and she should become a preacher in a polite way. She will get the message.

Well how I deal with would-be converters depends mostly on how they are treating me it can range anywhere from me telling them politely that I am not interested in converting to me giving the a taste of their own medicine and engaging them in a debate.
In your case, I'd recommend just telling the lady that you are not interested in hearing her preach and that you respect your husbands choice of religions.

I'm Wiccan and I have to go through that very often with people.
I know that they mean well by trying to "convert" me to their beliefs. However, if a nice person tries to preache me, I politely tell that person that I am not interested in his/her religious beliefs.
There's no need to be rude to them, unless they are aggressively hostile. If the person continues to preach to me, ignoring my polite requests to stop it, then I warn that person that I am feeling harassed, and I will be forced to legal action if the harassment doesn't stop. At the same time I tell the person that I really appreciate what he/she is trying to do ("convert" me), but if I am not preaching to him/her my beliefs, I deserve the same respect.

Point out 2 Kings 2:23-24. It is a wonderful story where God sends two bears to kill 42 children for calling Elisha "bald head". That usually shuts them up. If not there are lots more just like it.

this is different from someone preaching at you about your own religion.
This is trying to intrude into your marriage.
I'd put it in those terms.
I'd say "I respect my husband, and I respect his choices. I'd prefer that my marriage, and my husband, not be a subject for discussion"

By simply saying that you are not interested and what she has to say regarding that subject. She has every right to believe what she wants to believe and your husband has every right to believe waht he wants to believe and she should respect that. Tell her the bible said not to judge people. Only God can do that and she should shut up

I nod my head and ignore them; unless I'm in a mean sort of mood, in which case I might make a disparaging remark about the bible.

After a few tries, she is bound to stop, if she doesn't then you may have to start hinting..
