if its about relationships, then i think things should be clear from the start. You have to be vocal to tell him or her, you are not to be cheated upon, if he chooses you then it means he wont cheat on you. Relationships involves commitment specially on marriages. So when a person cheats , it simply means he's the kind of person he is, a cheater. If he did it at your back there's just no guarantee he wont do it again. You have to get your message across that nobody wants to be cheated upon. i am sure he will agree.
dont let him get away with it. At least make him feel its unforgivable. Remember, no one can make you feel inferior without your consent...

well i would confront the person about what they are doing and make them aware that you know what is going on. Tell them exactly how you feel. Then it's your choice if you feel like you can live with the fact that they cheated and believe that they won't do it again then i guess i would go on with life

nobody ever cheated on me. probably i would have asked why and what was wrong with me and tried to fix my own flaws, cos no man would cheat on a good woman. he values her too much
