It varies. Why not just ask, and get to know them that way, while dating?

I think you should just ask a girl out after you have met and chatted for a while. for example, i once met a girl in the bus in the morning, i bumped into her in the course of the day and i asked her if we could hook up inthe evening for coffee since we were so busy and we hadnt had time to just get to know each other. that girl is now my fiancee so i think you should just ask someone out when you feel you are comfortable with her and you think as well that she will be comfortable with it.

Just don't wait too long. Sometimes confidence in a guy is a turn on. You can ask the girl right then and there. Just as long as you FEEL like she feels the same way.

I would just ask them out for a quiet drink as soon as i met them, if i liked them, going out as friends is the best way to get to know someone

I believe in "love at first sight"...

So if I liked that person, will ask for a causal drink right away, get to know more about him and move forward from then.

Time is not a matter at all!

Ask as soon as you decide that it is what you want to do.

The shortest time I've waited was about a minute.

.. well, for me, it was just a couple of days.. because i believe that dating is one way to get to know each other.. but of course, i still have my personal instinct.. and i believe everybody has it.. if i feel comfortable with the guy, then i go with him.. if not, then i don't.. just as simple as that.. when i barely knew him, i chose a place where we could mingle with people.. i'm afraid of a place where we're only together..

It doesn't have any time line, any time which you think is a good time just go for it, don't let it be so long, you can know her better when you date her.
