I am applying on the basis of Ancestry and have been in the UK since June 2005. Any tips? So I can send all the right documents and not have any delay?

You can never have enough information. When I applied for mine, because of marriage, I brought everything! If possible, try to have someone like your mom or a relative come along with you. It just shows extra proof. Croydon is a nightmare, and you will be there for a long time (unless you decide to do it on line). Just exceed everything they ask of you on the website and you should be fine. Good luck.

The best advice I could give you would be not to listen to the brain surgeons on here and look up the correct information on the Home Office website.

But the point about taking as much documentation as possible is sensible.

You'll end up in Croydon. Try expediting the inevitable interview.
